The bulb

It was raining that night and I am home alone. I wasn’t afraid of being alone at home because it always happen to me since childhood. I don’t like coming with my parents when they attend gatherings I prefer staying home watch television ands sometimes listening to music. But that time it was raining I wasn’t afraid but when the light bulb switch off I started to feel something strange. I look outside to check if there is a power interruption in the subdivisions but all the neighborhoods had power but not in my house. So I check the television if it will turn on. And yes it on, so I take a look at the light bulb and saw a black shade around the middle of the bulb it was busted.

I remember my father taught me how to change a busted bulb. I went to the kitchen to look a spare bulb and found it and return in the receiving area ad change the bulb. But before I remove the bulb I remember that I should turn off the switch first. So I turned off the switch and get chair to step on it to have a higher height. I removed the bulb and change it with new one. After checking the tighten and the loosen of the bulb I go down the chair and switch on the light and yes it’s done. Thanks to my father who taught me how to change the bulb.

The left brain is verbal, logical and analytical

The left and right sides of the brain do not function as mirror images of each other in the way our lungs and kidneys do. In fact, they are quite different. Researchers have discovered that each side of the brain has itsown area of specialization. Each hemisphere has its own “way of knowing” and processes information differently. In a normal brain, the two sides work together by means of the corpus callosum, that four inch, pencil shaped bundle of nerves cut in the patients who had epilepsy. Even though we use both sides of our brain, some of us are left brain dominant and some of us are right brain dominant.

The left brain specializes in all those areas that help people fit into the way our society and especially our school system is structured today. The left brain is verbal, logical and analytical. It put things in order, lines them up, counts them, and makes step by step plans. The left side of the brain controls the right side of the body. To remember what the left brain does, imagine a bold, block L straight, orderly and no nonsense.

Kids and College – Solutions for Extra Rooms

Your child has finally grown up and left the childhood home, swapping out your house for a college dorm. He or she will be gone for the majority of the year, and you as a parent are suddenly stuck with the rather open question of just what to do with the newly vacated room.

First Thing First

What you do with your child’s room depends largely on how many things your child took with them to college, how much they left behind, and what you intend to do with the room in the future. This means that the first step is going to consist of packing up the room and finding a storage space, like a self storage unit, to deposit whatever remains. As noted before, what you plan to do with the room, and what your child will be taking with them after college, will dictate what you do with the larger pieces of furniture. In some instances you can put them in storage, in others, you’ll need to leave them be.

Another Kid’s Room

If you happen to have a large family, specifically one in which two kids are sharing a room, this decision is often the easiest to make. After all, you’ve got the room, and it’s in one state or another of being furnished, it is only fair that each child gets their own room. And if you doubt that, the kids sharing a room will be more than willing to reassure you.

The Guest Room

A similar, and common solution, is a guest room. This is a solution typically best for those who have frequent guests or those who wish to appear to have frequent guests. However, the guest room solution is a good idea when you have children in college as it affords them a place to stay when they’re at home. The typical college year only has between thirty and thirty-six weeks of classes. This leaves a great bit of the year free for your child to return home.

The Fun Room

When you embrace your creativity, there are a host of ideas which are fitting for a vacated room. Depending on your personal tastes, that room might be a home office, a gym, a craft or sewing room, or the recently fashionable “man cave”. Each of these solutions allows you, the home owner, to create a private sanctuary tailored either to your specific tastes or the tastes of your entire family. These ideas seldom leave space for your child’s possessions, and thus can necessitate a storage solution, but the upside is that you have a new addition to your house which you get to furnish and play with.

The Student’s Decision

Of course, if you leave things up to your new college student, the choice will frequently be to leave the room exactly as is. For the student, this is a means of maintaining one foot in metaphorical childhood, the housing equivalent of water wings. And, as a parent, it’s not an easy task to explain to your child that their childhood bedroom will be converted into a shrine that houses a 53″ flat panel television complete with a new leather couch and a surround sound system. But, if that’s the solution your arrive at, the news will help your child more towards establishing their own adult existence.

One Final Piece of Advice

The ultimate solution you choose is wholly up to you and your family. However, if your child is anything like the typical teenager, you will like want to clean the room. Thoroughly.

If you are a family that enjoys spending time in the kitchen, you probably want it to have a visual appeal that represents your family. Whether you are going for a cozy ambiance or a strictly functional kitchen, one thing to keep in mind is cabinet space.

Kitchen cabinets serve many purposes. They will free-up counter and working space, they add visual appeal and the look of your kitchen cabinets will set the mood for great entertaining. This is especially true in open floor plans where the kitchen essentially leads right into the living room & dining room.

If you are in the market for a relatively easy way to enhance your kitchen, the following are a few tips and pointers for those of you who want or need to make your kitchen more accessible, user-friendly, and functional.

Make a list of the current problems in your kitchen-inadequate counter or work space, appliances installed too far apart, inadequate cabinet and storage space, insufficient or awkwardly placed lighting, a sink that is too small, or improper ventilation.

Shop around at annual Home Shows for the latest kitchen layouts and designs. There are generally a plethora of magazines and books at any home improvement center that will help you decide exactly what you want.

Consider convenience. If you are going to perform a major overhaul you will need to consider adding storage, more cabinets, and placing appliances close to each other.

Make your visual choices carefully. You have a variety of cabinets to choose from- Maple, birch, oak, cherry, or synthetic cabinets. You may want to enhance your kitchen with window cabinets to display beautiful dishes or attractively contained food, oils, or spices.

After choosing the material of your new cabinets, you will need to consider color or finish choices. You want something that will visually blend with what you have or something that will match new appliances.

Lastly, remember that this is really a family project. You should consult everyone when making your choices. Remember that your kitchen will not be functional as long as you will be renovating. If you do not think that you have the time or know-how, you might want to consider hiring a professional.

The days of woman toiling alone in the kitchen are long gone. Now couples share cooking responsibilities or the male might be the primary cook of the household. Groups of guys have even been known to get together to share their cooking expertise.

A kitchen is a great place, no matter what the occasion, to gather for family meals, quiet mornings, entertaining, or for the holidays. It is the place where family traditions and childhood memories are formed so take your time and consider your choices wisely.

Play is different

Play is different. It is fun, an outlet from work, without serious purpose except to make us happier, more efficient, more relaxed and longer lasting working human machines. It is the man equipped with proper skills and positive attitude towards work and values that can help recover a tattered economy and transform a nation. There is something thought that puzzles the mind if work is indispensable to man and the worker is inseparable to business and industry why is the world having a problems with workers and about work? There seems to be the unending dissolution between labor and management, between employees and employers, between employees and employees.

Perhaps we could gain greater insight into the problem of work by looking at the different view on work. A man’s view on work shapes his attitudes and influences his behavior. Attitudes are, therefore, deemed an important variable as well as an indicator of behavior in nearly all walks of life, religious, governmental, administrative, economic, commercial, industrial and many  more. few would deny that attitudes are one of the major influences on behavior. Attitude are formed in the interest of one’s goal and objectives.
